The journey from a simple site-mapping utility to the full-featured SharePoint Commander platform is a reflection of continuous improvement, real-world application, and deep SharePoint expertise. Originally developed in 2015, the tool began as a lightweight solution for visualizing SharePoint architecture. Over time, it evolved to meet the growing needs of its creator, integrating capabilities like detailed Site Collection insights, usage metrics, permission tracking, and orphaned feature detection.
 

By 2021, the tool had matured into a powerful utility for deep-dive analysis of SharePoint environments. Recognizing the impact it could have across enterprise environments, it was transformed from a personal project to a commercial-grade product. This transformation included a complete modernization of the UI/UX, performance optimizations, and an expansion of the feature set to support broader enterprise use cases. In 2023, that commitment led to the launch of SummitPoint—a dedicated company focused on delivering tools that help SharePoint professionals streamline administration, optimize performance, and manage content with precision.
